CIDB Grade 1 Registration Process

CSD Registration

The company must first be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD). Once completed, the business receives a MAAA Number, which is required for CIDB registration. This ensures your company is recognized as an approved government supplier.

Create CIDB Contractor Account

After obtaining the MAAA Number, a contractor profile is created with CIDB. During this stage, CIDB issues a CRS Number (Contractor Registration System Number). This is your company's unique reference used for all grading applications and updates.

Apply for a Grading Class

With the MAAA Number + CRS Number, we submit a Grade 1 Contractor Application under the correct Class of Works. You can register for more than one Class of Works simultaneously (e.g., CE Grade 1 and EB Grade 1).

Approval & Listing

Mechanical Engineering (ME)

Electrical Engineering (Building) (EB)

Electrical installations inside or attached to buildings, including wiring, lighting systems, electrical panels, and distribution boards.

Electrical Engineering (Infrastructure) (EP)

Large-scale electrical infrastructure projects related to generation, transmission lines, power substations, and distribution networks.

Grades 2 – 9 (Upgrades)

Upgrading from Grade 2 to Grade 9 requires additional documentation such as:

Audited Financial statements
Track record of completed projects
Proof of turnover
Supporting compliance documents
